During surgery or a very painful procedure, patients are given anesthetic gases to knock them down and not feel the pain. According to a new study, these anesthetic gases are accumulating in the Earth’s atmosphere and adds to the climate change.

According to the researchers, they found out that the concentration of anesthetic gas in the atmosphere is continuously rising.

The gases used for anesthesia are desflurane, isoflurane and sevoflurane; and according to the researchers, these are more harmful than carbon dioxide. It has 2,500 times impact than C02.
